We are in the midst of prayer and hard work for getting our new gym and meeting rooms completed. To date we have the framing, rough in plumbing and electrical in but much more needs to be done before it is completed.
The vision for that building is not only the obvious multi-purpose room and new meeting rooms for our current groups but we have a great need for an after-school program with a Christ-centered focus in our area. The state will need to come in and inspect before we are granted a license to begin and the building needs to be 100% completed before that can happen.
Another BIG need is for meeting space for guest groups and summer camps. BLBC is growing and more guest groups than ever are trying to book their retreats and camps with us. One big issue though is space. There often times is lodging available but no meeting rooms for the groups to use. This means empty beds that could have otherwise been sold.
Simply put this building will meet many needs and will aid in the continued growth of the camp and in the end bring much glory to God.
Our financial goal to finish the building is approximately $400k.
